Welcome to Snowdrop Translation Services
I am Simona, a native Italian, UK based professional translator with over 20 years’ experience in languages and communication.
I translate from English and French into Italian and, depending on the project, from Italian and French into English.
I firmly believe in the power and beauty of language.
My professional trajectory has always been about using words with precision and care to help my clients communicate their valuable message in a language which is not their own.
Making a positive difference is also very important to me.
I strive to do so by providing a high-quality, ethical and friendly service, and by only accepting work in areas which resonate with my values and interests, and where I know I can do an excellent job.
Why snowdrops?
There are three reasons why I chose this little flower as my translation partner!
Firstly, snowdrops remind me of the region of the Italian Alps where I grew up. They don't fear the cold but poke their little heads out of the snow with a brave, optimistic attitude which I really like.
Then the name: snowdrop, perce-neige, bucaneve - so lovely and easy to pronounce in all my languages.
Finally, snowdrops are beautiful and elegant, yet solid and resilient; they have an aura of sophistication, but they are also honest and uncomplicated. And they are a promise of good things to come.
Just like I want my translation work to be.
