My story

I was born and grew up in a small town in the Italian Alps, in a valley north of Lake Como near the Swiss border. I'm not sure where my fascination with languages began, but I still remember the characters from my first English textbooks, and how much I enjoyed learning all those strange, new words and using them for the first time.

Motivated by my passion for languages and communication, I studied Modern Languages at Milan University. As part of my degree, I spent a year in London, where I completed my final dissertation while supporting myself through a variety of jobs.

I also attended a residential course at La Rochelle University and deepened my knowledge of French, and love of French culture, through several extended stays in Paris and Provence.

After graduating, I moved back to London. I first spent 18 months working as an academic buyer for a bookstore chain, followed by two years as a multilingual coordinator for an international company with offices in Milan, Paris, Brussels, and London.

I then launched my career as a language consultant and course provider, collaborating with high-profile clients including banks, law firms, advertising agencies, and organisations such as Chelsea Football Club, Disney Store, Boots the Chemist and the BBC.

Over time, I expanded into translation and localization work, collaborating with agencies and direct clients across my chosen fields. Translation eventually became my primary focus, though I occasionally still teach Italian.

I now live with my family in a small town in Surrey, just a 30-minute train ride from London. When I am not juggling words, I like cooking, doing yoga, walking in nature, writing for pleasure, reading, and spending time with friends. I also visit Italy as often as I can.
